Osheaga 2019: I'll save 325$ this year

Montreal’s biggest music festival, Osheaga, is “coming home” August 2, 3 and 4.

Osheaga 2019

After spending 2 years on a temporary site, they are bringing it back to the original area with significant improvements. With artists like Mac DeMarco, Tame Impala, Yellow Days, Clairo and more being announced beforehand, it gave us hope for this new year. Comparing the Lollapalooza lineup and other summer festivals, artists like The Strokes, and perhaps pop stars like Ariana Grande or Miley Cyrus could’ve been very interesting headliners. Many artists have performed in the city in the last few months or will be heading over to a venue during their own tour in the next few months like King Princess, Lennon Stella and Kurt Vile & The Violators. Also, in the past year, Montreal has risen with brilliant francophone artists which is clearly missing in this festivals edition. Artists like Hubert Lenoir, Choses Sauvages, Les Louanges, Heartstreets and so many more could’ve been present.

It's clear to say that there are many great artists on the lineup but the overall allure isn’t up to par with other music festivals being held in 2019.
